They can be used in doors or out. Hi, this is a vintaGe string of GE String A Long Mini Petal Lights Christmas. The box does show some aGe related wear and tear has had something stuck to the top of that left a mark ripped off bit printing. They DO NOT have a polarized plug and the gauge of wire on bulbs is smaller before they raised standards size.

Please also note that I DO NOT offer free shipping on ANYTHING, so if it happens to appear way in a listing is GLITCH. They have plastic plug in bases. It comes from a smoke free home. I'm not sure how many years ago that was.

They came out of an estate sale and they DO have OLD SMELL to them. This is a nice older light string and could make addition to your holiday decorations. The bulbs are made of glass and they incandescent. There are 35 lights in the set and multi colored.

I am not the original owner of these and can't say for sure how old are but I'm guessing they could date back to mid 1980 's. The length of this string is 16 feet. There are 2 spare bulbs, a red and blue one, fuse included. They also have plastic flower petal reflectors on each bulb.

It appears that they could still be new in the box but I did take them out of to photograph and test.
